MSA were appointed as building owners surveyor under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 to advise on matters relating to a new build house including a large basement floor, new superstructure walls adjacent to multiple boundaries and complex retaining walls to the access road.

Numerous adjoining owners were affected by the works and we served a range of notices for works falling under Section 1, Section 2 and Section 6 of the Act. Nearly all the adjoining owners appointed MSA to act as an agreed surveyor to impartially regulate matters between the owners under the Party Wall Act.

Various Awards were agreed which dealt with matters such as engineering details for foundations, substructure works and excavations, access and boundary treatments.
